Waiting for King Winter to come and pay a long and snowy visit.

Fall has taken it’s grip on the weather lately, and the first snow has already fallen on the higher mountains. So, naturally, planning the upcoming season has also started for real.

I have been working as a rafting guide the last month, and it’s getting cold. That also means seriously low water levels. Actually managed to pin the boat in Ofossen, the day we didn’t bring the big pin-kit. But the boat got out on it’s own, and everyone had a good laugh on my expense. Also done some kayaking this summer, which is really fun. Have purchased a playboat, and been borrowing a creekboat. Tried a slalomboat the other day, which is also good fun. Rafting season is soon over, so then I think I will go back to being a substitute teacher and mountain guide until Christmas.
Galdhøpiggen summer skiing center has been closed since 18. July, they finally reopened on Saturday. Didn’t have the chance to go skiing then, but will hopefully go skiing again really soon. I can really feel the abstinences these days, so it’s going to be nice! Have really started planning the upcoming season, and hoping to get a lot of days skiing this winter. The plan is to go to the Alps in January, and stay there as long as possible. Hopefully also doing some filming and photographing while I’m there. It’s a little in the planning stage still and a little depending on my sponsors how much it will be, but I think it’s going to work out very well.
Going to Oslo today to visit some sponsors and maybe celebrate my birthday a little. And I am really looking forward to go skiing when I come back. Let the snow fall!
